First Wind Turbine installation in USA   Elecon goes global by successfully comissioning the first  600 kW  Wind Turbine  at Newburyport, MA in February 2009.       Tamilnadu (TNERC) has declared revised Wind Power Tariff from Rs. 2.90 to Rs. 3.39 per kwh effective from April 1, 2009.
