have developed Main drive Speed Reducers for Air Pre-heater having Three
or Two input drives such as:
a) Electric motor, (Main Drive)
b) Air motor, (Standby Drive)
c) Diesel engine, (Standby Drive)
In case the application calls for two input drives;
Electric motor is provided with either Air motor or Diesel engine as
standby arrangement.
Speed reducer is having three input shaft as shown
in the above picture due to three drives. When the main drive is through
Electric motor; remaining two drives are getting disengaged automatically
through an Overrunning clutch provided on their shaft. However in case
of power supply failure; drive shall continue rotating, either through
Air motor or Diesel engine drives.
ELECON three stage gear unit having first stage of
spiral bevel gearing and remaining two stages of helical gearing. There
are three Spiral bevel pinions meshing with one wheel. These are nitrided
and their tooth contact were fine-tuned by lapping process (by lapping
them in pair). The helical gears/pinions are case hardened and tooth
profile ground to accuracy class 6 as per DIN 3961-63.
Gears and Bearings are lubricated through the built
on pump. There is a dry well arrangement at output to have foolproof
arrangement to avoid oil leakage for vertical shaft orientation. Output
shaft bottom bearing is grease lubricated.
