For the growing need of hot sizing of seamless tubes. Elecon has developed custom-built C-frame which en-houses 6 No. of roll stands, which were also developed in he past. These 6 No. of roll stands get drive through drive shaft supported in the C-frame housing which in turn gets drive from 6 outputs, one input; custom-built gear box viz. SCF 500-355 X 6-OS having power 320 KW / 1470 rpm, Ratio 21 5278:1.

After lowering 6 NO. of roll stands on loading table, they are pushed in the C-frame by push-pull mechanism hydraulically to couple with drive shaft coupling. Each Roll Stand is secured in its place firmly by thrusting the plunger of hydraulic Cylinder, bolted to C-Frame with the help of bracket. The hot seamless tube is received in the running roll stand and sized as per the requirement. The developed C-frame is to en-house 6 No. of roll stands, however any more numbers also can be en-housed in similar fashion, by modifying the design.
