Elecon has manufactured and supplied special gear box
against the import substitution for Cement Mill drive.
This is a parallel shaft gear box with Center distance,
Center height, Mounting dimension identical to an existing imported
unit for easy replacement without disturbing position of Motor and Mill
pinion shaft. This is supplied to M/s Century Cement, Raipur.
Teeth of pinion, wheel and pinion stand pinions are
made from high tensile carburising alloy steel, 17CrNiMo6 as per DIN
17210- Cast hardened to 60 +/-2 HRC and precisely ground to class of
accuracy 6 as per DIN 3961-63, high speed shaft dynamically balanced.
The shafts are supported on anti-friction special roller
bearings of adequate size of take care of radial and axial loads permitting
large degree of freedom against misalignment.
The gear box is installed with existing oil lubrication
system for providing necessary amount of oil to various gear meshes
and bearings thereby resulting in smooth and trouble free operation.
