Worm gear unit type FSL - has been specially designed for elevator - passenger lift where silent operation is very much essential.
Main features are taken into consideration in developing this gear unit.

1. Bronze sleeve bearing fitted on high speed shaft with thrust bearing to carry the thrust load in both the directions.
2. Wormshaft and worm wheel are accurately generated to obtain minimum backlash under center contact pattern.
   
3. Lubrication of the gear and bearing is by splash of oil from the oil sump.
   
4. Special output shaft to suit mounting of sheave and material used of high tensile steel.
   
5. The gear is totally noiseless and free from vibration.

These type of gear units are developed in a sizes 5", 6", 7", 8" for carrying capacity of 6 to 12 passengers.
