Elecon has developed above 17" center distance gear unit in the size 24" & 28" for special purpose applications.

24" size is developed in underdriven mounting position used for opening heavy duty gate on water dam.

28" size is developed in underdriven mounting position for double reduction gear unit(14/28) size for an application of Launching Pad Platforms used at ISRO SHAR CENTER, SRIHARIKOTA.
The casing of the gear box is of welded construction and mainly in two parts.
